United Has to Divert Flight After Another Dog MistakeMarch 18, 2018 3:45pm

Maybe United should stick with two-legged passengers: For the third time in a week, the airline has made a gaffe involving a dog. In the latest incident, a flight from New Jersey to St.

Louis had to be diverted to Ohio's Akron-Canton Airport on Thursday because a dog had been loaded aboard it by mistake, reports Fox 8. The dog was supposed to have been put on a flight directly from New Jersey to Akron.

All 33 passengers aboard the diverted flight will be compensated in some fashion for the inconvenience, reports CNN. The dog, meanwhile, has been "safely delivered to its owner" in Ohio, according to the airline.

This comes after a dog died after being loaded into an overhead bin and another was mistakenly sent to Japan.
